Edwards and Associates Ltd. is pleased to announce the integration of a Visual Query Builder to the suite of functionality offered by infoTOWN. The Visual Query Builder (VQB) offers users of infoTOWN an intuitive interface that fosters the creation and execution of sophisticated SQL queries in an easy to use environment. Simply select the tables to query (Figure 1), define the relationships (Figure 2), interactively build the SQL (Figure 3), and execute the query (Figure 4). It’s just that easy!

The VQB also
facilitates the export of data to a variety of formats (local databases, SQL servers,
ASCII or ANSI text files, Excel, Lotus, etc.) and the development/distribution of user
defined reports and labels. With VQB you create
data "models", i.e. graphical representations of how the data is organized
(tables, fields and joins), build queries based on these models, and use the query results
as you wish. Frequently used VQB "models" may be stored and reused
as required.
